Youthbank
Youthbank supports groups of young people aged 14-25 who want to improve their community. Small grants are available for young people to help them put their ideas into action.

How it works
Committees of young people, themselves, give out the money to young people. The committee members come from a range of backgrounds, are between the above age range and live across the whole district.

Members of the committees are involved in the following tasks: fundraising, visiting community groups, planning and developing strategy, publicity and public relations, grants assessments, deciding which projects get the grants, attendance at national youth events.

News
Last year the committees gave out a total of £28,500 to youth led projects and groups working with young people, across the district.

This year the committees have further monies to distribute to youth led projects. this money has been awarded to the committees by the National Youth Agency and the Transforming Youth Work, Community Cohesion fund.

Information
If you want to apply for a grant or have an idea that you want to carry out, or want to be part of the committee, please do not hesitate to ring 01274 777312.
