Housing Associations
There are many Housing Associations these are regulated by the Government, so they have certain standards they must maintain. You will need to apply to them direct as they have their own waiting list, as well as accepting nominations from other housing providers. Lists of Housing Associations are available from some Housing Aid Centres and local Access Points. Housing Associations are unlikely to offer a tenancy to someone between the ages of 16-17 without a guarantor and soon young people will also need someone to act as a trustee. You must also keep them informed of any change of circumstance or address.
