Bullying

Bullying can take many forms. It can be include verbal, physical and emotional abuse by an individual or group but it's directed specifically at someone and it can have long lasting effects. It doesn’t have to be at school it can happen anywhere, at home, at work, the internet.  If you are being bullied get help even if it`s cyber bullying its still wrong! Tell someone you trust don’t suffer in silence. Contact one of the services below for help.

Physical Violence

If you are in a relationship and your partner has hit you once, it’s very likely to happen again. Physical violence can happen to both men and women. You may want to talk to someone you know and trust, who understands your situation and can offer help, or you may want to speak to someone who’s uninvolved, a professional person experienced in this issue. You may need specific information, advice or practical help.

Getting Help

In each area there is at least one Domestic Violence and Child Protection Unit of the Police. Each unit is staffed by officers specially trained to deal sympathetically with victims of physical and sexual violence, particularly women and children. Staff can give advice and support. There is no pressure put upon a victim to pursue a complaint of assault if they don’t want to.

Other places to get help could be from your school nurse, GP or Relate. Remember you can ask to remain anonymous.
