Trade Unions

Trade union consists of groups of people joining to improve their wages and conditions at work.  Many of the rights people now enjoy at work such sick and holiday pay have been won through the struggle of working people over many years.  There are over 7 million trade union members in Britain; who elect from amongst themselves people to represent them in negotiations with their employers.
